One thing all four have in common: their love of the mountains. As serious mountain bikers and freeriders, Rosmarie & Wolfgang know every beautiful mountain and every mountain hut, Wolfgang is also a passionate ski tourer and satisfies his sporting hunger with extreme biking and skiing tours. That is why they have also geared ACTIVE by Leitner’s towards the needs of sporting holidaymakers. And have more or less created a centre for alpine adventurers in Kaprun..

The spirit behind ACTIVE by Leitner’s is nourished by the Leitner Family. If one were to describe the Leitners in just one word – in itself almost impossible – then the term "active" has to come to mind. Or perhaps motivated? Rosmarie & Wolfgang and their children Matthias and Linda are the personification of alpine casual. Grounded yet modern, conscious of tradition with an urban touch.
Linda
Linda Leitner– BSc – is the artist in the family, a very well-known and recognized fashion photographer, currently at ELLE and MILK-CITY studios in Munich, manages her own company and, together with "big" brother Matthias creates graphic concepts for his company LUM, a creative agency with online mag and music channel, as well as being a passionate and successful painter.
Matthias
Their son Matthias is a passionate and first-class freerider attracting numerous stars from the freeride scene into Skiing Hotel Kaprun. Not for nothing has ACTIVE by Leitner’s for years been the Austrian hotspot for freeskiers and snowboarders from around the world, celebrating contests and festivals at the Kitzsteinhorn. Ever since the success with the WOW Glacier Love Festival, written by Matthias, and with the establishment of his Event Agency LUM, world-renowned DJs, musicians and artists mingle with the sporty clientele, spending relaxed days in Kaprun.
